Post Title: Making a Greek Culinary Connection
By cyeager, Feed Name: CMC11
Preview: For those of you who may be anywhere near Albany, NY ... here is a wonderfully blissful treat for any day of the week. American friends, of Italian descent, took me out to dinner to an authentic Greek restaurant a few weeks ago ... oh, my ... I had the Moussaka and it was fabulous, as was the Tzatziki. Some of the ingredients were recently brought back from Greece by one of the owners. This ....

Post Title: Complexity, self-organization, #Change11 etc
By Vanessa, Feed Name: Computers, Language, Writing
Preview:  Even if not specifically designated as such, thoughts on navigating chaos, an ongoing Multiliteracies consideration, shine through. Besides relevance, this sharing-as-post gives me the opportunity to a) post by email to posterous; b) autopost to CLW; c) get in the habit of using Diggo features; d) comply with MOOC tool building mission, even modest tools with less bling and glitz (and ....

Title: Re: GOOGLE + HANGOUT ... INTERESTED?
Preview: Yes, I'm interested, and think I really need a hangout to shape whatever MOOC ideas I should be forming.  Would anyone like to hangout on Tuesday morning at 8? Hope so.

Title: Re: DO YOU USE TWITTER? HOW DO YOU USE TWITTER?
Preview: Thanks to Carol for sharing my question about Twitter and for all of your responses.  I'll definitely have to check out Hootsuite U, ilyse.  I think that I, as many Twitter skeptics, had seen it used so vainly and poorly, that it took some good modeling for us to find the value for our own personal and professional development, let alone our teaching.I got the addiction as BWheat ....

Title: Re: Is quiet necessary for creativity?
Preview: I think the answer is, "It depends." It depends on the individual, and probably also on what's being created. In my case, writing is a chore, and requires a great deal of concentration, so I need quiet and solitude. On the other hand, I recall seeing a video about TV writer David Milch saying he always composed his scripts in front of an audience. And if someone is creating music, noise ....

Title: Re: Is quiet necessary for creativity?
Preview: SSHHHHH!!!!! I'm working. I started writing stories about my life sometime last year, after being extremely irritated by a friend's response to an email.Once I unlocked the door of this creative process, I find that the stories fill my head until they intertwine and collide with one another (the jumble of information that you mentioned). They only way to quell the commotion and make ....

Title: Re: DO YOU USE TWITTER? HOW DO YOU USE TWITTER?
Preview: I am TOTALLY ADDICTED TO TWITTER! I have it on my laptop, on my cell phone, and on my ipad. If I get it on my TV, I'm doomed as I wouldn't do anything else but tweet. At first I didn't get the hang of it, but once I did I couldn't stop. In 3 months I am following 1,908 people and have 805 followers - and I don't know any of them personally. My connections were made via ....
