Post Title: #CFHE12 #Oped12 MOOC as the Wonderland
By VanessaVaile, Feed Name: MOOC Madness
Preview: Reblogged from Learner Weblog: If you haven’t read this post, you may wonder what Sebastian Thrun meant when he says: "I feel like there's a red pill and a blue pill," he said. "And you can take the blue pill and go back to your classroom and lecture your 20 students. But I've taken the [...]

Post Title: Stories to TEL: MOOCs, what about them?
By VanessaVaile, Feed Name: MOOC Madness
Preview: That about nails it. Enough said, but there’s still more worth reading, so please do. MOOCs have caught the public eye and not just those of education professionals. The reason is that potentially they change the game of higher education. Not just because some claim they will…but also because many fear or predict they will. So, [...]

Post Title: Robots helping autistic children learning…
By childrenandhistory, Feed Name: Teaching Children and History

By wolfinthenight13, Feed Name: wolfinthenight13

I was wondering if anyone wanted to do another Google Hangout this week to discuss and brainstorm ideas for our final presentations. I know I want to do some sort of hands on projects, but not sure on what [...]

Preview: I................LOVE THIS. and did not know it existed. I'm sure a lot of people grew up loving this book but I'm beyond in love with it. I love the book and I loved Spike Jonze interpretation of the book through the movie, which I watch way too often. Thanks for sharing this event and with such detail... Title: Re: Confused
Preview: Why niot go back to the three videos supplied at the start ... the ones by Dave Cormier on how to navigate through a MOOC.  They are very helpful.  Also, it is quite normal to be confused and feel overwhelmed for the first few weeks ... almost everyone does.  Once you find your bearings and flow with what interests you, it does become more interesting and the learning becomes ....

Title: Re: Confused
Preview: I feel reaaly confused with this course. At my age and in my line of work,I have never had to use all of this communication. It would be nice if there was some sort of introductery course that had you gradually get into this. This seems to me that there is a lot coming at you all at

Title: Re: Stay a ?
Preview: No, I definitely agree with your post... and feel sympathy for the amount of time you had to spend writing a textbook. When I was in elementary / high school, the text books I had were already dated and they actually didn't include many, if any, group activities or chances for discussion, especially in the history and math departments. I am finding now and for the most part since I have ....
